Temple

I went with Temple and her mother to a beautiful farm that has been in their family for a long time. On a perfect Sunday afternoon, the farm dating back to the late 1800s made for a spectacular setting to shoot her senior portraits. The old buildings and beautiful landscaping were truly a photographer's dream come true. We had a great time, and I was really pleased with several of the photos. Here's a few of my faves:

Sloyan Family

When photographing children it is never a dull moment. Photographing 5 children now that is an adventure. I had the opportunity to photography the Sloyan Family at their house, a renovated farmhouse on 5 acres of land. The scenery was beautiful a perfect place to take pictures. The children were a joy to work with and they seemed to have plenty of fun during the shoot. Just wanted to say thanks to my friend Annamaria for the referral; she is an au pair for the family and helps take care of the kids.

Brian and Wendy

Two weddings in one week and I wasn't responsible for taking pictures. On Oct 11th, I was a guest at a family wedding. It was nice to see family that I don't see as much as I should. The wedding took place in Glen Allen, Virginia. The wedding was beautiful with a reception at a country club. Took some pictures and did my best to try to stay out of the way of the photographers shooting the wedding.

Orlando and Evonne

I am really behind on posting to the blog. Life has been so busy, but better late than never. On Oct 9th I had the opportunity to be a guest at wedding for two fiends of mine. The wedding ceremony was very unique, a great message of what God intends marriage to be and how we try to shape marriage into what we think it should be. The reception was awesome, on the 12th floor with a beautiful view of DC. Here are few photos from the wedding:

Melissa And Raymond

This past Saturday we had the pleasure to photograph Melissa and Raymond's wedding. The wedding took place in Memorial Chapel at the University of Maryland. I have been in the Washington DC area for 8 years and had never had the chance to visit the chapel. The chapel is absolutely beautiful, both inside and out, with pews that seem to go on forever. The ceremony was beautiful, with a close friend of Raymond's performing the ceremony. Everyone was a joy to work with. Below are a few photos from the wedding.

Chad and Cara

I met Cara a couple years ago when I first moved to the Shenandoah Valley after I met my wife. My wife works with Cara and they are also good friends. After spending time with Cara and Chad at several out of the office work-related events, I knew they were a match made in heaven. (Especially after I found out Chad was a fellow gamer and Nintendo Wii owner.) Even though we still haven't had our MarioKart throwdown, I still respect Chad a lot, and was both happy and excited when I heard he and Cara were planning to marry. But I was even more thankful when they said they wanted Blyth Scott Photography to shoot their wedding. The day finally came last weekend, and we had a great time shooting the wedding. Congratulations to you both, and here's a sneak peak of what is to come...
